Vortok safety barrier fencing offers an innovative engineering solution for railway maintenance. A universal and adjustable rigid barrier fence system for the protection of the workforce against moving trains.
The fencing barrier is permitted to be positioned 4ft from the running rail, whilst allowing train speeds up to 100 mph. The safety barrier is quick to assemble and dismantle, with no tools required and provides an immediate enclosed ‘Green’ zone.
By clamping directly to both flat bottomed and bull head rail, Vortok fencing is non penetrative to the ballast meaning sub ballast services are undisturbed.

Vortok Safety Barrier Features
- The Vortok Safety barrier is permitted to be positioned 4ft from the running rail whilst allowing train speeds up to 100 mph
- A copy of the Railtrack certificate is available upon request
- For train speeds over 100 mph the Vortok Safety Barrier can be adjusted to 6ft 6” from the running rail
- The Vortok Safety Barrier is currently the only universal rigid barrier system with full Railtrack approval for use on all types of rail in all zones
- The barrier is fully insulated permitting its use in third rail areas
- The barrier complies with the latest edition of the Rule Book and can be set at either 4' (1.2m) or 6'6" (2.0m) from the running rail
- The barrier can be used on both flat bottomed or bull head rail
- A further device is available to permit the closing off of the green zone at the end of the barrier run
- All components included with the Vortok Safety Barrier are completely reusable
